Psssst. Wanna know something crazy? It'll blow your mind. Ready?
The sky isn't blue. And the sun isn't yellow.
Boom. You're welcome.
The sky is actually transparent. And light from the sun is actually a bunch of different colors. Blue and violet light have shorter wavelengths (higher frequency), so they get scattered easily by gas & particles in the atmosphere. This makes the sky appear blue.
Red, green, and yellow light have longer wavelengths (lower frequency), so they pass through the air and into our eyeballs. This makes the sun appears yellow. The sky is transparent. The sun is a rainbow you can't see.
You'll never unknow this information. You're welcome.
