Amazing

Played the game with my wife and friends. It's a pretty good representation of the show, as close as you can get in card form. There were some elements missing that my table immediately found apparent, but I wonder if they can add them in a future run or expansion pack! We definitely came up with a few ideas for cards that we all collectively agreed would have increased our enjoyment. But a solid experience overall. 8/10!

Never a fan

Honestly I was never a fan or watched an episode of Survivor! Some of the gang were fans of the show. Much like another family favourite game, Exploding Kittens, we really liked playing the game the first time but once we played, read all the action cards, reread the rules again and discussed how to play with each other. We LOVED playing this game. It was a lot of fun and the rules were clearly spelled out. Bonds were formed and players graciously helped other players. All in all Great fun.

A cutthroat party game of animosity

Survivor as a board game is an interesting concept, but in execution this game could use some tweaking. Nobody in our household watched the television show this game is based on, which doesn't really matter for gameplay. The game is easy to learn and fast paced, with card drawing and elimination based on secret votes. The making and breaking of alliances between players is a big part of the game, which for our family resulted in some hard feelings by the end. We all felt that playing with 3 to 4 players was not ideal, this game seems like it would more fun with 6 or more players. The final vote involving all eliminated players tended to be arbitrary, our group felt it would work better with more than 4 players. Some of our players did enjoy the card play, especially the reward challenge cards and stealing options. The Survivor theme might be more exciting for fans of the show. There is a QR code in the instructions that gives players the option to have Jeff Probst (we didn't know who he is) be Tribal Council Leader in the game, it linked to an under construction page when we tried it so we don't know what that's like. All in all the kids liked the game even though it led to some arguments, and the adults decided we'd prefer to play old favorites like Exploding Kittens over Survivor.
